Andhra University to offer courses for Navy officers

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University will offer executive PhD programmes, lateral entry into MBA, M Tech and B Tech courses and Diplomas in Marine Law, cyber security and other diplomas to the Indian Navy officers and staff, said Prof G Nageswara Rao, Vice-Chancellor.

Discussing the modalities of Memorandum of Understanding to be signed with the Indian Navy with Rohtas Singh, Principal Director, Navy Headquarters, here on Tuesday, the Vice-Chancellor said that Andhra University has been offering various degree and post graduate courses and certificate programmes to the Airforce, Navy and Army personnel.

Rohtas Singh said that the Indian Navy has academic collaborations with some universities and colleges and planning to sign the MoU with Andhra University in the areas of Executive PhD programmes, lateral entry into various courses.

Prof K Gayathri Devi, Rector, Prof K Niranjan, Registrar, Prof MVR Raju, Dean, Academic Affairs, Dr G Ravi Kumar, Associate Director, NSTL, Ujjwal Kumar Ghatak and Kumar Raja were present.
