Chandrababu Naidu to be chief guest at International Adivasi Day

Visakhapatnam: The district administration and department of tribal welfare is making elaborate arrangements for the International Adivasi Day celebrations to be held on August 9 at Paderu, the agency headquarters of Visakhapatnam agency. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be the chief guest.

Collector Pravin Kumar, along with the officials, reviewed the arrangements for the International Adivasi Day celebrations. The Chief Minister will attend the Grama Darsini at Chintala Veedhi panchayat in Paderu mandal.

Addressing the media, the Collector said that the Chief Minister will participate in a rally which will be taken out from Adarimetta village to Paderu in which over 10,000 people will participate. After having darshan of the presiding deity of agency Modakondamma Talli, the Chief Minister will participate in the International Adivasi Day celebrations.

All the ITDA (Integrated Tribal Development Agencies) in the state would also participate in the celebrations. In view of the rain threat, the entire venue was covered with rainproof. During the celebrations, the Chief Minister would distribute ROFR title deeds to 5,000 tribals and distribute self-employment tools to the tribal youth, the Collector said.

During the Grama Darsini programme, archery exhibition also arranged. The archery players across the state are coming to Paderu to exhibit their talent before the Chief Minister. Later, the Chief Minister interact with the players, the Collector added.
