Cheneta Nadaka organised on Handloom Day

Kakinada: The fourth National Handloom Day was celebrated here on Tuesday under the aegis of Department of Handlooms and Textiles.
As part of it, Chenetha Nadaka was conducted from Elvinpeta to Mahatma Gandhi statue to explain the importance of handlooms.
All the presidents, secretaries and members of 50 handloom cooperative societies participated in the programme.
Later, the persons who rendered meritorious service to handloom industry were felicitated.
District Cooperative Central Bank general manager M Dharma Rao, district cooperative officer Dr Panduranga Rao, APCO divisional manager Radha Krishna Murthi and many others were present.
