Plea to work for plastic-free city
Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar has said that his aim is to make the cultural capital of the state as a plastic-free city and appealed to the people, students, non-governmental organizations, Chamber of Commerce and others to extend their cooperation in this regard.
He flagged off a rally against plastic organised jointly by the students of Aditya Degree College and Mahila College at Syamala Centre here on Tuesday.
He said everyone in the city should avoid plastic usage which was posing many problems. The rampant plastic usage was hampering the flow of drain water along with other issues.
