RSS Chief Bhagwat in city to review activities
Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived here on Tuesday. As a part of his annual programme of the south-central region areas (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana State and Karnataka) visit, Mohan Bhagwat arrived here to participate in the South Central area meetings to be held in the city from August 8 to 11.
The RSS Chief will review the activities in the past one year in the three states. The state-level Sangh leaders of the three states are participating in the four-day meetings. During the meetings, Mohan Bhagwat will also direct the Sangh cadre to take up the activities for next year.
Expanding the Sangh chapters, activities on the social issues, study of the major local issues, urban development, village and urban-level meetings with the volunteers of the Sangh are in the main agenda of the meetings.
To participate in the meetings, Nagaraju from Bengaluru and another leader of the Sangh Shyam Kumar also arrived here. According to Dusi Ramakrishna Rao, organising secretary of the South Central Region of the Sangh, an exclusive meeting would be convened on August 11 in the city in which the entire active volunteers of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana State and Karnataka would participate.
There would not be any public meetings and public related events during the four-day meetings. The four-day meetings are for the RSS volunteers and other Sangh Sanchalaks (Directors) only. Meetings would be held under the supervision of RSS Sanchalaks of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Dr Vijaya Gopal and Prof Avadhani, says Dusi Ramakrishna Rao in a release.
