World Telugu Literacy Conference in Melbourne

Visakhapatnam: The Australia Telugu Association (ATA), Lok Nayak Foundation and Ongori Foundation of Huston jointly organising World Telugu Literacy conference in Melbourne, Australia, on November 3 and 4, said Founder Lok Nayak Foundation Prof Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad.

Addressing a media conference here on Tuesday, Lakshmi Prasad said that Telugu ‘Literacy-Then and Now’ is the theme of the conference. As many as 500 writers and poets from 32 nations are coming to participate in the conference, he added.

The main aim of the conference is to popularise Telugu across the globe. A book exhibition-cum-sale, book releasing functions, discussions on Telugu language and other programmes would be organised in the conference, Lakshmi Prasad said.
