APKWDC offers free coaching for Kapu candidates under KWDC Vidyonnathi scheme
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh State Kapu Welfare and Development Corporation (APKWDC) will offer free coaching to the Kapu, Balija and Ontari community students for the Railway Protection Force (RPF) recruitments and other competitive exams under the KWDC Vidyonnathi scheme.
APKWDC Managing Director K Siva Shankar Rao in a statement said on Wednesday that the KWDC would recruit students for the free coaching through an interview which would be organised on August 10 at APKWDC office in Vijayawada. The coaching will be offered for a period of 45 days to the students.
Siva Shankar said that the State government had allocated Rs 3,100 crore budget since 2015 for the uplift of Kapu community in the state.
The State government had allocated Rs 77.09 crore for the construction of the 13 Kapu community buildings at district headquarters and 97 mini Kapu community buildings across the state to perform social programmes and marriage functions, he added.
He mentioned that as many as 29,421 Kapu, Balija and Ontari community unemployed youth were given free training and about 22,065 unemployed youth got placements in different private sectors so far under KWDC Skill Development scheme.
He said that AP KWDC selected about 1,000 Kapu, Balija and Ontari community students and allocated Rs 110 crore under the KWDC Videshi Vidya Deevana scheme.
A total 1,40,000 students were selected under KWDC Students Scholarship scheme in the state, he added.
