Later, they were shifted to Bhavanipuram Police Station and released them after some time. Former minister K Parthasarathi, former MLA Jogi Ramesh and YSR Congress Party leaders K Anil Kumar and Simhadri Ramesh reached the irrigation office, along with the party workers, to meet the officials.

They wanted to submit the representation towards release of water for tail-end areas in Krishna district. But the police did not allow them. The leaders of YSR Congress Party argued with police and raised slogans against the government and Devineni Umamaheswara Rao demanding that they allow them to meet the higher officials.

Police took them into their custody and shifted them to police station. The YSR Congress Party leaders said that several villages in Pedana, Machilipatnam and Pamarru mandals are facing hardships due to lack of water.
