Lokesh to visit China for investments
Amaravati: Minister for electronics and IT Nara Lokesh will visit China in September to invite industrialists, mainly from the electronics sector, as part of his goal to generate two lakh employment in this sector.
His programme is scheduled for three to four days and will interact with delegates of 15 to 20 companies per day. According to the office of the Minister, in this tour, Lokesh intended to invite the smart phone component manufacturers to the State.
The state government is already succeeded in encouraging the component manufacturing companies to establish their units in Tirupati Electronics park. Recently, the state government signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Holitech Technology, a key component supplier to Xiaomi smartphone brand.
“The idea behind intensively promoting electronics sector in the state is, we wish to ensure that each and every part in the mobile should be manufactured domestically”, explained Lokesh.
He further added that under the vision of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the state will emerge as role model for the entire country in electronics sector. Not only components of the smart phones, but also recycling of waste mobiles will be taken up in the State, he said.
