Minister felicitates former Sarpanches
Parchuru: Minister for Women Empowerment, Child Welfare Paritala Sunitha and Parchuru MLA Eluri Sambasiva Rao felicitated 95 Sarpanches in the Parchuru Assembly constituency who completed their term recently at the MLA camp office in Martur on Thursday.
The sarpanches shared their experiences for the last five years and thanked the MLA Sambasiva Rao and minister Sunitha for their cooperation.
The minister Sunitha appreciated the services rendered by the former sarpanches for the last five years in bringing out the Gram Swarajyam dreamed by the Mahatma Gandhi.
She said that the development of the state depends on the villages and she congratulated them for playing a key role in the development of the state.
She advised the former sarpanches not to rest as their term was completed and asked them to take the welfare programmes of the government to the ground level and explain the public in villages about the development activities initiated by the government.
She appreciated the MLA Sambasiva Rao and asked the sarpanches to work for the MLA and see the public elect him again with great majority.
He announced confidently that Nara Chandrababu Naidu will become chief minister again in 2019.
The minister also participated in the Grama Darsini- Grama Vikasam at Pothukatla village in Parchuru mandal and Degaramudi village in Marturu mandal and laid foundation stones for various development schemes.
She also participated in Seemantham programme for pregnant women at Degaramudi village and distributed nutritious food supplements to them.
