Four held for Geetha Govindam piracy
Guntur: The city police arrested four persons, including three engineering students, studying in a university near Vijayawada for copying a yet to be released Telugu film ‘Geetha Govindam’. They recovered three laptops, three pen drives, four mobile phones and two hard disks from them.
According to Guntur Urban Superintendent of Police Ch Vijaya Rao, the prime accused Padavala Rajesh, who was working as an admin in Data Digital Bank at Film Nagar in Hyderabad, copied the hard disks of Geeta Govindam film in his laptop, which were handed over to him for editing and dubbing, and shared the same film with his relatives Vandana and Jayant.
In turn, they copied the same film in a pen drive and gave it to engineering students Sai Mahesh and Kamal. Based on a complaint, police arrested Sai Mahesh, Kamal, Jayant and Padavala Rajesh in Hyderabad and produced them before the media in Guntur.
