SI asked to go on leave for alleged sexual harassment

Atmakuru: Local SI Venkata Subbaiah was on Sunday asked to proceed on VR (vacancy reserve) as a woman complained to SP Gopinath against the SI of sexual harassment. 

A woman hailing from former Prisoners’ Rehabilitation Colony Siddhapuram approached the SI seeking help in solution of a dispute of her house. Taking advantage of the woman’s, (Kunchala Lakshmi Devi) condition, the SI used to call her up asking her to fulfill his desire. 

Atmakuru CI Krishnaiah confirmed the news stating that he had received orders from the SP. Meanwhile, the women’s group  expressed anguish over  the SI’s behaviour.
