AP Govt strives for welfare of Muslims, says MLC

Kadapa: MLC Sharief stated that state government has allocated Rs 1,102 crores for the development of Muslim minorities in 2017-18 budget. The MLC was in Kadapa on Monday in motivating people of Muslim minorities to the state level convention being organised in Gunturu.

He said that since its formation TDP has keen on promoting the socio economic , status of Muslim minorities by implementing  several welfare measures.  He said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has paid special attention in promoting the living standards of Muslim minorities in the state. As part of this initiative, sites were allocated for the construction of Mosques, shadikanas and  burial grounds besides sanctioning funds.  

He said Chief Minister was responsible in setting up Dr Abdul Hak Urdu University.  TDP district president R,.Srinivasulu Reddy urged the party cadres to work hard in implementing schemes for the development minorities at grass route level.

He said government is pending Rs 200 crores every year only on education for Muslim students. He asked the leaders in their respective constituencies to take initiative in bringing more people to the convention.
