AP should be most livable state in nation, says Chandrababu Naidu

Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu advised the officials to improve communication and information system in villages by arranging public radio system at village centres across the State.

Reviewing the functioning of real time governance at the Secretariat on Tuesday, Chandrababu Naidu said the public radio system will help to alert people in case of natural calamities.

Later reviewing the functioning of e-Pragati, he said storing data plays key role in development programmes. He asked the officials to update the CM dash board to serve people in real time more efficiently.

Expressing happiness over Tirupati and Vijayawada cities finding place in top 10 cities in the country, Chandrababu Naidu said Visakhapatnam lost the opportunity due to some technical problems. Inspired by this, he said officials should make efforts to convert Andhra Pradesh as most livable State. He said technology should be used to provide world-class facilities and to prevent pollution in cities.

Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar said drones would be used to identify pot holes on rural roads. He said mapping of 70,000 km rural roads would be taken up through drones. 

He said free WiFi facility would be provided at 4,000 identified places in urban areas and 27,093 places in rural areas. He said virtual classrooms will be completed by September.

Chandrababu Naidu said the fiber net and Content Corporation works should be completed as per schedule. CMO secretaries Sai Prasad, Girija Sankar, Rajamouli, IT secretary Vijayanand, Real Time Governance Society CEO Babu A, IT advisor J Satyanarayana, Content Corporation CEO Kartik and other officials were present.
