JSP bats for statue of Alluri Sitaramaraju in Parliament
Bhimavaram: ‘Power Star’ and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan has extended his support to achieve the demand of people to set up statue of ‘Manyam Veerudu’ and freedom-fighter Alluri Sitaramaraju in Parliament.
He addressed a meeting of Kshatriya community associations at a function hall near here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that saving people belonging to all castes was the Kshatriya Dharma. Alluri was a brave fighter who cannot be linked to any caste. He fought with the British to save interests of tribals and downtrodden.
Such great soul should be remembered by our future generations. There were poor among Kshatriyas who need support, he said.
He said he was moved by the tale of woes of families residing beside dumping yard here. Every problem can be solved by talks, he said adding that our actions should not create rift among people. He never tried for political mileage while working on different problems.
Only some families were getting benefited while the castes were ignored. Kshatriyas in Bhimavaram has the caliber to make the town another Hyderabad, he added.
