Jana Sena manifesto vows 33% quota for women
Bhimavaram: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan while releasing his party manifesto here on Tuesday vowed to strive to bring 33 per cent reservation for women in all the legislative bodies. The homemakers would be supplied with cooking gas free of cost, he added.
An amount of Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000 would be deposited in the accounts of women in lieu of ration, Pawan stated. He said that the reservations for backward classes (BCs) would be increased by five per cent if possible.
However, the Kapu community would be accorded reservations by placing them in the 9th Schedule of the Constitution, exempting from 50 per cent maximum ceiling. Pawan said in the manifesto that an amicable solution would be found for the categorisation Scheduled Castes.
The manifesto also promised a separate corporation for providing financial assistance to the economically backward upper caste communities. ”Special hostels would be constructed for the students of upper caste community,” it says.
“Sachar committee recommendations would be implemented for the development of the Muslim community,” he said and added that he would strive to get Contributory Pension Scheme abolished.
The Jana Sena leader said that he would run the homes for the aged, if the party comes to power. In his remarks after releasing the manifesto, Pawan said that though these were courageous decisions, he strongly believed that there would be a way if there was will to implement them.
Earlier, Pawan Kalyan visited Somaramam, one of the five Pancharamams and worshipped Lord Someswara Swamy. Later, he released the party manifesto after offering special prayers to the Goddess Mavullamma and presented a copy of manifesto to the goddess.
