Juvenile arrested for thefts, property recovered: Ongole police

Ongole: The Ongole police arrested a juvenile for his involvement in various thefts and a person for cooperating with the boy to sell them.

According to the Ongole town DSP, B Srinivasa Rao, the One Town police received complaints from the public for one month that two-wheelers and wheels of their motor bikes parked outside in the night were missing. They also received a complaint about theft of 11 sovereigns of gold ornament.

In the investigation by the CI, Md Firoz, SI Nayab Rasool and a team, the police identified the juvenile and based on information from him, they arrested Pulagala Avinash along with the boy on Monday for cooperating with him and selling the loot.

The DSP announced that they recovered jewelry of 11 sovereigns weight, two motor cycles, 8 wheels of the bikes total worthy of Rs 4 lakh and booked the juvenile and Avinash in four cases. He said that they didn’t received complaints about few wheels and asked the public to visit One Town police station to receive the wheels after making a complaint with details.

The SP, BS Yesubabu appreciated the police team for cracking the case and arresting the involved immediately.
