AR SI Kalluri Ravi selected for Indian Police Medal in Ongole

Ongole: The AR SI, Kalluri Ravi, working in the IT Core Team of Prakasam district police is selected for the Indian Police Award by the Government of India, along with 13 other police personnel from the state.

Ravi joined the police department in 1989 as AR constable and participated in nearly 50 training programs on computers and technology. He is instrumental in controlling the crimes using technology and also helping the investigation teams since then. 

He became a dependable aide for various SPs of the district like Kishore Kumar, Bala Subrahmanyam, Mahesh Chandra Laddha to the present SP Satya Yesubabu. He is appointed as a member in the AP Police State Software Committee in 2007 and has hands on experience of all IT applications and awareness on new types of cyber crime. 

Though he is operated for brain tumor, he has trained about 4000 police personnel on various technologies for investigations and partnered with the teams in successful investigations of 100 and more challenging cases. 

He received 200 and more Good Service Entries and Cash rewards, 17 appreciation certificates and AP Police Service Medal in 2013.

The district SP Bhusarapu Satya Yesubabu, Additional SP (Admin) Lavanya Lakshmi, Additional SP (AR) Sivareddy, DCRB DSP Mariyadas and other officials felicitated Ravi on Tuesday evening for his selection for the Indian Police Medal and appreciated his services for over two decades.
