Homage paid to BJP patriarch

Tirupati: BJP activists paid their homage to party patriarch Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who died in New Delhi after brief illness, on Thursday.

After knowing the death of Vajpayee, party activists including district president B Chandra Reddy, state secretary G Bhanuprakash Reddy, state party spokesperson Samanchi Srinivas and others gathered at the party office here where they paid floral tributes to the portrait of Vajpayee.

They recalled the immeasurable contribution of Vajpayee to build up the party and also in introducing many far-reaching measures when he was Prime Minister and eulogized him as a man of principal and a statesman. 

Tirupati based NGO RASS general secretary G Muniratnam condoled the death of Vajpayee. In a release here on Thursday, Muniratnam recalled his meeting with Vajpayee in May 24, 2000, in Tirumala and said he was man of virtues and action.
