ONGC Rajamahendravaram receives best Onshore Asset
Rajamahendravaram: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Rajamahendravaram Asset conferred with ONGC's Best Onshore Asset for 2017-2018 in the country. Asset executive director DMR Sekhar received the award from ONGC chairman Shashi Shankar inconnection with Independence Day celebrations held at Dehradun on Wednesday.
The award was given to the asset in recognition of excellence and siginificant contribution leading to overall performance of the organisation. Speaking in this connection, executive director DMR Sekhar said that the asset produced 0.322 million metric tonnes of crude oil during 2017-2018, which is the highest production of oil in the asset ever since the inception of the asset in the year 1960.
The asset also produced 959 million cubic metres of gas in 2017-2018 and because of it Rajamahendravaram Asset became the second highest gas producing onshore asset in ONGC, he added. As many as three wells will be drilled in Nagayalanka by December this year to gain as many as 320 metric tonnes of oil per day and 1.50 lakh cubic metres of gas also. At present, the asset is producing 1000 metric tonnes of oil and 31 lakh cubic metres of gas per day.
