Tricolour unfurled in Ongole amidst rain
Ongole: The public and staff of various institutions and offices including the district administration celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with patriotic fervour on Wednesday.
The Independence Day is officially celebrated at the Police Parade Ground and the district in-charge and Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development P Narayana hoisted the national flag after receiving the guard of honor while his Cabinet colleague and Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Siddha Raghavarao, MLCs Karanam Balaram, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, state forest development committee chairman Divi Sivaram, Collector Vadarevu Vinay Chand, SP Bhusarapu Satya Yesubabu and other district officials participated.
The minister Narayana announced that the state government is providing social, health, education, technology, nutrition, insurance, electricity, employment, gas, fodder, water like 15 securities to the families under Mukhyamantri Kutumba Bhadrata for the holistic development of the state.
He said that the government is successfully introduced People First concept to provide corruption free rule and responding to complaints on 1100. In district, he announced that they put a production target of 17.20 metric tons of milk, 95000 tons of meat and 3100 lakh eggs and to earn Rs 9775 crores with a 16 percent increment in the revenue. He presented best service awards to 814 people including the Prakasam district HMTV reporter Pirla Siva Rajesh.
The district SP BS Yesubabu hoisted the flag at district police office while the joint collector S Nagalakshmi unfurled it at the collectorate. The civil servants said that it is the responsibility of every government employee to provide service to the public with commitment and dedication.
The ZP Chairman Edara Haribabu hoisted the Tricolor at the ZP Office and said that the employees of Zolla Parishad and its associated departments in the district should cooperate with him in making their offices corruption free.
