District fencing teams selected in Ongole

Ongole: The Prakasam district Fencing Association general secretary on Thursday announced that the selections for the Under 14 and Under 17 Boys and Girls teams were held by conducting a competition.

He said that the selection was held in ABM Degree College as the district Olympic association Secretary Kurra Bhaskara Rao, district fencing association president Balisetty Nageswara Rao started the completion and the college principal Margaret and Dr Chapala Vamsikrishna attended as chief guests. 

The players from Ongole, Chirala, Tanguturu, Musi Nidamanuru, Ammanabrolu and Singarayakonda attended the selections.

The secretary announced that the selected candidates will participate in the 4th state level under 14 and under 17 competitions scheduled from August 21 to 24 at Ravulapalem village in East Godavari district. 
He said that the coaches RN Chiranjeevi, T Kushal Singh, B Bharat, R Vijaya, PETs P Vijay Kumar and D Jyotsna Devi also participated in the competition.
