Chief Minister inaugurates special medical facilities at LVPEI
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated Special Medical Services at LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) on Saturday. He inaugurated three medical facilities at Kode Venkatadri Chowdary campus of the hospital and appreciated the management of the hospital for introducing Ocularistry facility to treat the patients. He also appreciated the management of LV Prasad Eye Institute for allocating the latest advanced facilities in Andhra Pradesh like Special Eye Operation Theatre, Eye Bank, Ocularistry (Artificial Eye Operation).
The management of the hospital explained the CM that the Ophthalmologist Surgical Centre will be operated by Lowran Labs, the Eye Bank and Ocularistry services will be provided in collaboration with Tej Kohli Eye Bank. They also explained the CM that the new services are in the 4th Campus of LVPEI Network and also told CM that the management aims for bringing the latest equipment. They said that Cornea collection and scrutiny will be conducted by the Eye Bank and about 1,053 corneas were collected so far. The Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu appreciated the management of the hospital and the team of doctors on the occasion.
