European Film Festival in Vizag city

Visakhapatnam: The city is hositng a five-day European Film Festival from August 24 to 28. This year, the European Union Film Festival (EUFF) presenting some unusual stories to the cinema lovers. 

The festival is being conducted in 11 cities, including New Delhi, Chennai, Port Blair, Pune, Puducherry, Kolkata, Jaipur, Visakhapatnam, Thrissur, Hyderabad and Goa.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the films would be screened in the VUDA Children’s Arena theatre located at Siripuram. 

Everyday, two films would be screened starting from 5 pm. Eentry is free and the persons above 18 years are only allowed to the festival. 

The persons, who would come to the festival, must carry their identity proof and have to be seated 15 minutes before the movie time, the minister added.

On the occasion, the minister released the film festival poster and booklet about the movies to be screened during the five-days.

World-wide hit movies ‘A Brave Bunch’, ‘Land of Mine’, ‘House without Roof’, ‘Mother Knows Best’, ‘Unexpected Journey’, ‘Taranta on the Road’, ‘Tiger Theory’, ‘The Lesson’ and ‘Boy on the Bridge’ will be screened during the film festival. 

Vice Chancellor of Andhra University Prof G Nageswara Rao, Registrar of Andhra University K Niranjan and others were present.
