Managudi sare gets divine blessings of Lord

Tirumala: With 12th phase of Managudi programme beginning from August 23-26 in two Telugu-speaking states, the officials placed Managudi puja materials at the holy feet of Lord Venkateswara, Tirumala seeking his blessings on Saturday.

On the occasion, a procession of sare commenced from Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple to shrine. Speaking on the occasion, TTD Deputy Executive Officer Harindranath said Managudi festival would be observed in 12,000 temples across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. The festival is aimed to rejuvenate temples across the two states by involving the locals in the development of shrines in an effort to bring back their past glory.

“The puja materials including Akshinthulu, Kankanam, Pasupu and Kunkuma will be dispatched to the respective temples after receiving the divine blessings of Lord,” he added. Later, TTD Trust Board member Rama Chandra Reddy, Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad secretary Ramana Prasad and DyEO Harindranath carried the sare overhead and placed at the lotus feet of presiding deity. Ramana Prasad urged the Bhajan mandalis and Srivari Sevaks to make Mangudi programme a success.
