Security sought for Ganesh immersion

Tirupati: A representation submitted to Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty by the members of the Tirupati Varasiddhi Vinayaka Utsava Committee (TVVUC) seeking permission and also necessary security arrangements for the smooth conduct of Vinayaka Nimajjan (mass immersion of idols) here on September 15. 

TVVUC convener Samnchi Srinivas said that about 750 Ganesh idols are expected for Nimajjan in Vinayak Sagar and about 30,000 devotees are expected to participate in the festival, marking the conclusion of the three-day Ganesh festival celebrations to be held from September 13 to 15 in the pilgrim city.
