Photographs reflect society: Minister Kollu Ravindra

Vijayawada: The 179th World Photography Day and 17th State Photo Competition and Display was organised at Press Club here on Sunday.

Sports and Youth Minister Kollu Ravindra participated as the chief guest of the programme which was organised by APUWJ with the supported of Journalist Association, Tourism department, SAAP and Cultural Associations. 

The photo exhibition will be on display for three days.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that photographers reflect the realistic situation of society.  

He said that the photographs which were displayed remind the rural culture which was gradually disappearing. He said that this expo would be an inspiration to the coming generations on the tradition and culture. 

The minister said that students should visit the expo to gain knowledge on the culture and photography.

AP state Creativity and Culture department director Dr D Vizai Bhaskar said that these kinds of photo exhibitions and competitions would bring out creativity from the photographers, he said.

MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao said that photojournalist effort was priceless and they have the ability to portray anyone beautifully with their skills.   

Buddha Vihar chairman Golla Narayana Rao, Cultural Centre CEO Dr E Sivanagi Reddy, K Sivaji of APCC, APUWJ secretary Ch Ravi, APPJA state president N Sambasiva Rao, Joint Secretary D Suman Reddy, Treasurer TV Ramana, V Madhava Rao, Ch Vijayabhaskar and others were present.
