Plea to donate for Kerala flood victims by Fizikem Foundation in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: With heavy rain lashing Kerala state for the past few days leaving hundreds dead and thousands homeless, Ortho fit Oil and Capsules company Fizikem has extended its helping hand for the victims.
The company donated Rs 1,10,232 to Kerala Chief Minister Relief Fund through CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna here at the Fizikem Foundation office on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramakrishna said that Kerala received very heavy rainfall after decades, disrupting normal life.
He said that everyone according to their capacity, were coming forward to help the people of Kerala from across the country in the hour of need.
He said that Fizikem extended its support to help Kerala which was commendable. He appealed to all NGOs and private organisations to extend their help with the government.
Rajeswari Fizikem Foundation founder Kesava Rao said that Rs 1,10,232 was donated to Kerala CM relief fund and said that one should come forward to help the people of Kerala.
CPI district secretary A Vanaja, former MLA Subba Raju, former MLC Jelli Wilson, CPI city secretary Donepudi Shankar and others spoke on the occasion.
