Amaravati: The monsoon session of AP Legislative Assembly will commence on September 6 and will continue for 10 days. The State government has taken the decision and will send the proposal regarding this to Governor ESL Narasimhan.

Then he will direct the Assembly Speaker to organise the Assembly session. On the other hand, Opposition YSRCP leaders did not attend the last two sessions including winter and budget sessions.

YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy boycotted the Assembly, demanding action against the defected MLAs from YSRCP to TDP. Meanwhile, YSRCP MLA Mohammad Musthafa Shaik said that they would decide whether to attend the ensuing Assembly Session or not at the party’s legislature party meeting.

He said that the MLAs of his party were utterly disappointed as Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was not giving funds for development of their Assembly constituencies. He further criticised Naidu for appointing Assembly in-charges for monitoring the funds released for the constituencies which are represented by the YSRCP MLAs.

Meanwhile, TDP MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar found fault with the YSRCP for boycotting the Assembly sessions. He said that as the legislators were elected by the people, they are supposed to attend the Assembly sessions and raise people’s issues.
