Prof Sadhan visits Tenali on waste management

Tenali: Prof Sadhan K Ghosh, Chairman of the Eighth International Conference on Sustainable Waste Management (8IconSWM), which will be held on November 22-24 at Acharya Nagarjuna University, visited Tenali on Tuesday.

Prof Sadhan met MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad, Municipal Chairman P Venkata Rao, Municipal Commissioner K Sakuntala, municipal health officers Dr BV Ramana and Dr Surya Prasad with the team and discussed various issues on waste management.

Prof Sadhan Ghosh said that the 8IconSWM will support technically for the improvement of waste management facilities in Tenali. Incidentally, Prof Ghosh has been given the responsibility of mentor of the project.

The eighth international conference on Sustainable Waste Management (8IconSWM) will be held on November 22-24 at Acharya Nagarjuna University.

A field visit would be organised in the Tenali municipality for the international and national delegates during the conference on source segregation, waste collection and transportation, integrated waste management complex consisting of organic composting facility, vermin-composting facility, biomethanation (biogas) to electricity, fecal sledge treatment plant and others.
