Nellore: Manubolu cops have cracked a murder case and took two persons into custody. They seized two mobile phones, one motorbike, petrol bottle used for burning the dead body, gold chain and a ring from them. The accused were identified as P Harinath and P Venkataiah.
Gudur DSP VS Rambabu disclosed the case details at Manubolu Police Station here on Tuesday. He said that a woman was murdered, and her dead body was burnt. Manubolu cops registered the case as a suspicious death and took up investigation.
The DSP said the police identified the deceased as Kalyani (35), wife of Late Venugopal Reddy of Iskapalli village in Venkatachalam mandal. They also found that Kalyani was having an extramarital relationship with Harinath of Utukur village in Sydapuram mandal.
Harinath had taken gold ornaments from Kalyani and failed to return them, the DSP added. Harinath had married a woman in 2010 and divorced her and also married another woman in 2018. Kalyani started harassing Harinath why he had married second time.

Rambabu stated the accused burnt her body after she died and fled away from the scene. Manubolu cops nabbed the accused on Monday. Gudur Rural Circle Inspector P Akkeswar Rao also present.
