Campaign on eradication of leprosy continues in Kakinada

Kakinada:  A total 50 health workers, affiliated to District Leprosy Control department visited several areas in the city on Wednesday, the third day of the door-to-door awareness programme. 

The five-day awareness campaign was commenced on August 20.  District Leprosy Nucleus officers Dr M Raghavendra Rao and Dr M Kanya Kumari were supervising the campaign.

They created awareness to locals on reorganization of the disease at preliminary stages and for its total eradication.

Deputy medical officer Gopalakrishna and staff participated.
