Creation of 20,000 jobs a false promise, alleges DYFI

Vijayawada: The members of Democratic Youth federation of India (DYFI) criticised the state government for not taking any action on the promise of creation of 20,000 jobs for the unemployed youth in the state.

M Surya Rao of DYFI blamed the TDP government for its negligent attitude on the cabinet decision to fill 20,000 vacant posts in the state on August 2.

He recalled that the government had assured to fill 20,250 vacant posts in April 2016 and gave notification for a few vacant posts and cheated the unemployed youth by false commitments to fill the remaining posts soon.

He said that with the release of APPSC calendar, the youth joined coaching centres to prepare for the entrance examinations by spending money taken as loan from lenders.

He said that the government had announced the DSC notification and postponed several times and the strength of students at government schools was coming down due to lack of teachers.

He said that if the government recruits teachers, the education at government schools would be strengthened.

B Ramanna of DYFI said that as on 2017 November, there are 27,000 government vacant posts in all departments and about 22,000 vacant teacher posts in the state.

He said that the government was cheating the unemployed youth by highlighting state financial deficit.
