Tributes paid to Tanguturi on birth anniversary in kakinada

Kakinada: The 146th birth anniversary of Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu known as Andhra Kesari, the first CM of Andhra Pradesh was celebrated at Prakasam Chowk here on Thursday.

Deputy CM N Chinarajappa while paying floral tributes to Andhra Kesari appreciated the bravery of Prakasam in opposing Simon Commission during his visit.

The deputy CM also hailed Prakasam for bringing in various reforms in administrative set up as first CM of Andhra Pradesh.

He called up on the people to follow the ideals of Tanguturi. 

District Collector Kartikeya Misra, MLC Chikkala  Ramachandra Rao, rural MLA Pilli Ananthalakshmi, DFO Nandini Salaria and others attended.
