Krishnashtami celebrations from tomorrow in Rajahmundry

Rajamahendravaram: ISKCON manager Hemma Nimmayi has said that the celestial Krishnashtami festival will be held at the temple in Gowthami Ghat here for nine days from August 26 to September 4.

Disclosing the details to the reporters in the temple here on Friday, he said Krishanshtami celebrations would be commenced with Balarama Jayanthi on August 26. 

On September 3, on the eve of Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival, maha mangala harathi would be offered at 4.30 am followed by Srunghara Harathi, Maha Harinama Sankeerthana,, Anantha Sesha Vahana seva, float festival, Maha Kumbhabhishekam and Maha Managala Harathi at 11 pm.

All the programmes would be held under the aegis of ISKCON south president Gopinad Das, he added.

He appealed to the people to participate in Krishnashtami programme and get the blessings of Lord Sri Krishna.

Later, he released a wall poster on the festival.
