Political heirs in race for Assembly tickets

 Youth leaders, industrialists’ eye on assembly tickets for recognition Krishna dist politics to witness new faces

Vijayawada: The people of Krishna district are likely to witness many new faces in the ensuing elections. Several new leaders are trying to get tickets to contest in the Assembly elections. 

The demand for tickets is high in Telugu Desam Party and the next choice is YSR Congress Party. The descendants of various senior leaders, including MLAs, are also in the ticket race. 

The youth leaders, realtors and industrialists are making plans to contest in the next elections by planning to represent the main parties. 
As per the present political trends, the main political parties have plans to encourage new faces. Following the hints from the top leadership of Telugu Desam and YSR Congress, several new leaders are in the race for tickets. 

The rumours making rounds in political circles that the ruling Telugu Desam Party may change several legislators.

Vijayawada West MLA Jaleel Khan is also likely to field his daughter in his place. The sources said that already Jaleel Khan got the assurance from Telugu Desam supremo N Chandrababu Naidu in this regard. 

Devineni Avinash, son of former minister the late Devineni Rajasekhar (Nehru), is in the race for party ticket. His father was five-time MLA and had strong fan following in the city politics. 

Now, Avinash is an aspirant for Vijayawada East, Nuzvid Assembly segments and also for Vijayawada Parliament seat. Besides, Machilipatnam MP Konakalla Narayana’s family members are making plans to obtain party ticket. 

Indeed, there are some rumours in the political circles that the MP may ask ticket for his family members in his place.  Similarly, the TDP leadership may select new candidates for Gudivada and Nandigama Assembly segments. 

The similar rumours are making rounds in the city politics about the MP candidate. The TDP leadership may give MP ticket for new candidate replacing Kesineni Nani and ask him to contest the Assembly seat. 

On the other hand, the YSR Congress may field many new faces. Still there are no specific candidates for Vijayawada and Machilipatnam Parliament seats. Former bureaucrat Basit is the acting in-charge for Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency. 

He is also new to the politics. The new leaders like Y Venkata Rao from Gannavaram, B Bhava Kumar for Vijayawada East are in the ticket race.As per sources, the new leaders may contest from Pamarru, Vuyyuru Assembly segments on the YSR Congress tickets. 

One senior bureaucrat speaking to The Hans India said that several youth especially industrialists are planning to get tickets either Telugu Desam or YSR Congress with the aim to get personal recognition through politics.
