Jagan promises to allocate funds to cultural artistes

Visakhapatnam: The YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy's PrajaSankalpa Yatra continued on 247th day at Yalamanchili  Assembly constituency of Visakhapatnam district on Monday.

The Yatra started from Achutapuramand passed through   Appanapalem, Maduturu Junctionand Cheemalapalli in Achyutapuram Mandal before taking a break for lunch. After the lunch,  Jaganmohan Reddytoured through Bangarupalli village and reached to Kondakarla village and junction.

He had completed 2,826kms on foot as part of his PrajaSankalpaYatra. During the padayatra on Monday, G Srinivas a cultural artiste alleged that the TDP government had not identified around 1 lakh artistes who have been engaged in cultural art (drama) in the state. At least Jagan, after assuming power in 2019 elections should allocate funds for houses and pensions to the artistes, he urged.

All India Backward Class Public Welfare Association president G VenkateswarRao  explained how the state government GO 550 was  affecting the BC,SC and ST medical students.

After hearing his grievance, Jagan assured to withdraw GO 550 after his party comes to power in the state in the forth- coming elections. Many people from various communities approached Jagan and conveyed their problems and  interacted with him during his Padayatra.
