IPPB to be inaugurated on September 1 in of Vijayawada
Vijayawada: India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) would be inaugurated across India on September 1 with a vision to bring the under privileged people into the banking sector. In this connection, a road show was held by the Postal staff of Vijayawada Postal Division here on Monday. The road show began Buckinghampet and proceeded till Vijaya Talkies covering Apsara theatre centre and prominent places on the Eluru road and finally ended at Buckinghampet post office.
The road show was headed by senior superintendant of post offices Vijayawada Division K Santhosh Netha, senior branch manager IPPB Buckinghampet, G Prashanthi along with the Assistant Superintendent of Posts, Inspector of Posts and Public relations Inspector (Posts) of Vijayawada Division.
Santhosh said a banner and placards were displayed during the road show with the salient features of IPPB account like Banking at your convenience. Instant and paperless account opening, Interest rate of 4 percent per annum, No monthly average balance required to be maintained and the account can be opened with zero balance which enlightened the public. Santhosh said that there was an overwhelming response from the public and many customers eagerly enquired the salient features of the IPPB account, he added.
