Vijayawada: The Communist Party of India (CPI) leader, K Narayana on Tuesday flagged off a truck carrying goods including medicines, clothes, rice and other commodities worth Rs 15 lakh to Kerala.

Addressing the gathering before flagging off Narayana hoped that Kerala would regain its pristine glory after rehabilitation.

He congratulated Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao for donating more to Kerala than other chief ministers.

Blasting the Centre for its poor response to the flood-hit Kerala State, Narayana said that the Centre would have given one fourth of the amount it is spending on statues.

He said that CPI responds immediately to any of such incidents.
