Campaign on road safety awareness programme in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Prayoj Foundation, an NGO, organised road safety awareness programme at three places in Vijayawada on Tuesday as part of the week-long campaign.

Founder president of the Prayoj foundation, Mani Polavarapu, is conducting the awareness among the people to check accidents and save the lives of people. 

Two persons attired as Yama Dharmaraj and Chitragupta stood at three places from morning to evening and distributed rose flowers and pamphlets to the vehicle drivers and riders at bus stand, Benz circle and Auto Nagar gate. 

Yamadharma Raj and Chitragupta attracted the people with special dress. They asked the people to wear helmet and seat belt without fail and follow the road safety rules to check accidents. 

Big screens and Ultra cements is extending support to Prayoj foundation to conduct the awareness programme on road safety. 

Prayoj foundation, an NGO working on environment and child education has taken up one week road safety awareness programme on August 27 and will continue till September 2, said the president Mani Polavarapu.

The organisation distributed pamphlets about pollution and road safety precautions to be followed by the drivers.
