AP Govt urged to set up Telugu Language Development Corporation
Visakhapatnam: Telugu Dandu founder president Paravasthu Phanisayana Suri demanded that the government set up Telugu Language Development Corporation to conserve the mother language in the state.
The TDP had assured to establish an exclusive body to conserve the Telugu language, however, the government had failed to take up measures in this regard for the past four years, he pointed out.
On the occasion of Gidugu Rammorthy Pantulu birth anniversary fete, a large number of intellectuals, educationists and others paid rich tributes to the former at Telugu Talli statue here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Phanisayana Suri said that influenced by the English language, the present generation is neglecting the mother tongue. Instead of conserving the mother tongue Telugu, the government also neglecting the language, he lamented.
