1 lakh donated to civic high school as corpus fund

Tirupati: In a laudable gesture, S Gopinath and his brother S Chiranjeevi donated Rs one lakh to Sri Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Municipal High School (SPJNMH) here to set up a corpus fund in the school in memory of their father late SR Venkata Subbaiah for giving prizes to the merit students of SSC from the interest accrued from the fund. 

Gopinath, a retired SBI official and Chiranjeevi working as DGM in BEL in Bengaluru, who are the alumni of the school, handed over the cheque through their mother Chempakamma to headmistress P Varalakshmi here on Thursday.
