Divisional Railway Manager inspects passenger amenities
Visakhapatnam: Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Division Mukul Saran Mathur inspected the section between Naupada and Gunupur in the division on Thursday. Passenger amenities and safety were given priority during the inspection.
Safety consciousness among railway employees is promoted through man to man counselling and safety drives, apart from issue of circulars, conducting of seminars, which are conducted to improve the efficiency of train operations in Naupada-Gunupur line focusing on inspection of LC gates, points and crossings, bridges and the fittings with concentration at all vulnerable locations.
During the inspection, the DRM interacted with the supervisors and field staff. The DRM and the accompanying officers inspected the safety parameters, amenities and facilities at the stations and alerted the staff on safety consciousness to prevent human errors.
Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) Ashok Kumar, Senior Divisional Engineer (East) Narasinga Rao and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Suneel Kumar accompanied the DRM during the inspection.
The representatives of various associations and public interacted with DRM at Gunupur and Paralakhemundi stations and submitted their representations for the development of the stations.
