ITDA project officer Nishant Kumar cleans hostel toilets at Kothada Tribal Welfare Hostel in Gangavaram Mandal

 Kakinada: ITDA Rampachodavaram project officer Nishant Kumar cleaned toilets in welfare hostel in Gangavaram mandal in East Godavari agency on Thursday.

The PO during his visit to Kothada Tribal Welfare Hostel enquired about the cleanliness in hostel to keep the inmates healthy. He also took part in lunch along with students. 

Later, when he visited the premises he found the toilets unclean. He noticed the hostel sanitation staff rushing to the work in his presence. 

The PO took a broom and started cleaning the toilet to the dismay of hotel staff and sanitary workers.

The PO noticed the stagnation of water in the vicinity and directed the staff concerned to clear the water stagnation to avoid mosquito problem.

Nishant Kumar promised the inmates to provide playground under MGNREGS.

When contacted on the issue on Friday, the PO said, “The sanitary staff may not be in a position to take-up the cleaning due to work pressure.  

Hence I attended to the work. One should not feel shy or feel it as a prestige issue while attending to work related to health care.  

My sincere advice to students and youth is to follow this aspect sincerely.”
