Road connectivity in Naxal hit areas reviewed by Collector Kartikeya Mishra

Kakinada: East Godavari Collector Kartikeya Mishra reviewed road connectivity in Left wing extremism areas in Agency on Friday with ITDA project officers at Rampachodavaram and Chintur and DFO through videoconference.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that proposals have been sent to government to improve road connectivity in agency area both PR and R&B.

The Collector said that proposals for 16 panchayat raj  works with Rs 61.4 crore and 9 works under R&B with Rs 76 crore covering 94 km roads have been sent to government to take up works in agency area. 

He also said that all these works were approved by district-level committee. 

Out of these works, 6 works need forest clearance to take up road works in Chintur, he added.
