Heavy rain lashes Srikakulam

Srikakulam: Heavy rain lashed Srikakulam city and its surrounding areas on Saturday  for more than two hours. 

Rain started at 1 pm and continued till 3 pm. Due to heavy downpour, water logged on main roads leading to Arasavalli, Zilla Parishad, Women’s Degree College, Balaga, one way traffic road, Saraswathi Mahal, Diamond Park area, Potti Sriramulu Junction, main market, old Srikakulam and old bus stand areas. 

As a result, people are facing trouble to reach their destination on time. Rainfall was repoted in Ponduru, Etcherla, Amudalavalasa, Gara and other mandals across the district.
