Villagers told to avail of IPPB services says Ananth Kumar Hedge
Kadapa: Union Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Ananth Kumar Hedge has urged the villagers to utilise the newly introduced banking services in the post offices for their benefit.
Inaugurating India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) branch at YSR Auditorium here on Saturday, he said with an aim to bring all banking services at the door step of common people, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has designed this new scheme.
He said the services of IPPBs would be available at 1.50 lakh post offices across the country from Saturday and added people will have different banking services like SB accounts, current account, cash transfer, counter services, lending all kinds of loans, micro ATM mobile banking with IPPBs.
He said in rural areas people will face several hurdles to reach homes by carrying cash after drawing it from the banks.
Several villagers lodged complaints in the police stations after the money was stolen or lost in the middle, the minister said and added now this kind of situation does not arises and people can make transactions without fear from nearby post office branches.
He said IPPBs will also play keyrole in lending all kinds loans like corporate banks as they would be partners of financial and insurance organisations. Post Master General Srilatha and others were present.
