AP State bags award for Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana

Amaravati: Health, medical and family welfare department won a prestigious award for commendable performance in the implementation of PMMVY (Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana) in the country (South Zone). 

According a statement on Monday, the department said the state won this award for showing best performance in PMMVY target achievement, number of field functionaries with zero enrolment, number of applications due for second and third instalment, gap between average daily entry and expected daily entry to achieve the target.

The award was declared by the ministry of women and child development, Government of India.  Kurnool district won Best District Award in the category of targets Vs achievement, said the release.
