South Zone ICAR sports meet from September 5 to 9 in Kakinada

​Kakinada:  A five-day South Zone ICAR (Indian Council of  Agricultural Research) sports meet will be organised at East Godavari  District  Sports Authority (EGDSA) grounds in Kakinada from September 5 to 9. The meet will be conducted under the aegis of ICAR,   Rajamahendravaram. Teams from Tamil Nadu,  Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana apart from Andhra Pradesh will participate.

Disclosing the details to the media on Monday, ICAR, Rajamahendravaram, director Dr D Damodar Reddy said that in total 543 sportspersons would participate in 21 disciplines, both indoor and outdoor during the five day meet. He also said that the activity begins with cultural activity on the first day. Sports organizing secretary Dr H Ravi Shankar, EGDSA chief coach Syed Shahid and others were present.
