Visakhapatnam: YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday asserted that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu lacks sincerity to resolve many problems that the state is beset with.  Addressing a massive public meeting at Sabbavaram, the YSRCP chief assured that he would resolve all pending problems if the YSRCP comes to power.

Jagan said that his party was committed to resolve the NTPC issue and resettle evacuees affected by pollution after ensuring that they get a fair compensation. The YSRCP president crossed a major milestone on Wednesday when he went past 2,900 km on his Praja Sankalpa Yatra near Subbavaram village of Pendurthi constituency. On the occasion, YS Jagan hoisted the party flag and planted a sapling.

Jagan said that when he was looking at the Damodaram Sanjeevaiah Law University, students told him that it was thanks to the late Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and his decision to set up Law University in the state and in particular, in Sabbavaram that they could study law.

Jagan said that wherever he went to Pendurthi Assembly constituency, people complained of land-grabbing, tampering of records and even compensation being claimed by ruling TDP leaders in the name of proxies.

The constituency has the unfortunate association of being the place where a SC woman was stripped by ruling partymen. The people are lodging many complaints about the pervasive corruption in TDP beginning right at the top with 'Pedda Babu' and 'Chinna Babu and filtering down to MLAs, leaders and officials.

The TDP leaders are preparing the draft to grab 540 acres of assigned lands from poor farmers in the name of land pooling, Jagan alleged. As per the law, one cannot buy assigned land and yet is being done in the name of land pooling. This land is being turned into plots and sold.

The YSRCP chief said that people protesting this injustice are being harassed and punished. On his 255th day of yatra, eminent doctor and MD of Kala Hospitals Dr P V Ramana Murthy along with his wife Dr P Kalavathi joined YSRCP.
